Aoudad Sheep Hunting in Spain

The Aoudad sheep, also named Barbary Sheep, is a Big Mouflon with an amazing skin… perfect to exhibit it in the most exclusive trophy room.

This African Sheep is in fact endemic specie coming from North Africa and introduced in Spain during the seventies.

Even if it has got a big development on the primitive area where it was introduced, also in neighbors areas it has now a very polemic situation due to the “Administration Authorities”.

In consequence, now it is possible to organize Aoudad sheep hunt it in a Free range where we have been during a long time hunt it, in a really beautiful landscapes (Aitana Mountains)

However, it is possible to hunt the Barbary Sheep in Spain also in a Fenced areas.

Trip details of the Aoudad Sheep Hunting

We will assist you in Madrid Airport for the clearance of your weapon, pick you up personally and be at your disposal at any time.

Transfer to the Hotel located at 2,30h to the Madrid Airport.

The Hunting Area is at 45 minutes from the Hotel.

As always, a rifle test is necessary. We will make the necessary checks before the hunt. We use to do that on the Ground to make sure the rifle is accurate.

If you don´t bring your rifle we have several ones perfectly optimized for this hunt with good scopes at very good zeroing.

We work with a Leica Geovid binoculars with a Ballistic chart in order to know the drop of the bullet anytime.

We seriously recommended you to use our own rifles in order to make your Trip more easy and comfortable.

On day 1, after breakfast, at 8h00, we will start hunting.

We move to the mountains in 4×4 and we start spotting the best areas where the flocks meet.

The hunting can takes only a few hours, or whole day, depending of the chances we can have.

The 80% of the hunters take the sizes as trophy that they are looking for. We never shot trophies below the minimum size expected by the hunter.

On day 2, if we didn’t take the trophy we use to have the same program.

The last day we move to the Airport.

This hunt is perfect if you want to combine with Holiday, as the surrounding are beautiful and the beach is closed.
