Sierra Nevada Ibex Hunting

Also called Southeastern Ibex, the Sierra Nevada Ibex has an intermediary size comparing with the others; something between a medium Beceite’s trophy and bigger than a Ronda’s trophy.

The population of Sierra Nevada Ibex is bigger than he Ronda Ibex, but not as bigger than the Beceite Ibex.

Their shapes are “close” to some Gredos Ibex even if from a “zoo logistic point of view” they have “another particularity” of the Beceite’s Ibex.

The best season starts during the Rut, on the beginning of the winter.

You will hunt in a Private Estate, in an open range area, on the East of Sierra Nevada Mountains at an altitude of 1,600 – 2,400m / 5.250 Ft – 7880 Ft.

It is important to understand that the Hunting Activities on the Natural Park of the Sierra Nevada Mountains are forbidden.

The Trip

We will assist you in Malaga Airport for the clearance of your weapon, pick you up personally and be at your disposal at any time.

Transfer to the Hotel located at 1,30h to the Malaga Airport, normally on the Monumental City of Granada.

The Hunting Area is only at 55 minutes from the Hotel.

As always, a rifle test is necessary. We will make the necessary checks before the hunt. We use to do that on the Ground to make sure the rifle is accurate.

If you don´t bring your rifle we have several ones perfectly optimized for this hunting with good scopes at very good zeroing.

We use Leica Geovid binoculars with a Ballistic chart in order to know the drop of the bullet at any time.

We seriously recommended you to use our own rifles in order to make your Trip more easy and comfortable.

On day 1, after breakfast, at 8h00, we will start hunting.

We move to the mountains in 4×4 and we start spotting the best areas where the Ibex use to feed.

The hunting can takes only a few hours, or whole day, depending of the chances we can have.

The 80% of the hunters take the sizes as trophy that they are looking for. We never shot trophies below the minimum size expected by the hunter.

On day 2, if we didn’t take the trophy the first day, we use to have the same program.

The last day we move to the Airport.
